How do we improve our mindsets and achieve our goals by working our optimum?

One fine day, you realise that your body is getting out of shape and decide to get up early in the morning and go for jogging or workout. You kept the alarm for the next day at 5 am. The next day, the alarm starts ringing. what is your mind saying? It’s okay to skip today. I am tired today, I can start tomorrow. What difference will it make with one day? You slept late last night. You need a perfect 8 hours sleep, if not I will get a headache. your mind is playing games with you. You are not going to wake up. Why is our mind coming up with a thousand reasons which can work against your goal? Our mind is not conditioned in a proper process.

How do we improve our mindsets and achieve our goals by working our optimum?

I would suggest a few things to achieve that quality.

Reading Books

Reading books help us to become smarter, sharper and stimulate Creativity. Through books, we learn about how things work, understand different cultures, Life of Heroic leaders etc. It increases empathy. Words have the power to inspire and motivate us to do better things.


Traveling gives us exposure to other cultures. It familiarises us with the big world outside the narrow space of our homes. Different perspectives from different places and people. There is an old Chinese saying: reading ten thousand books is not as good as travelling ten thousand miles. It helps us to experience and understand the world.


Meditation is not a prayer. It’s not religious. It’s so human. This process enhances Self-Awareness. Our mind can be our greatest assets if we train them properly. Meditation helps to do that.


Jim Rohn famously said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. It’s true. So choose the people who make our lives move forward. Find out the great role models in the industry or area you want to improve. Observe and understand what their qualities are and what they are doing differently. Follow them. Be with them and become one of them.

All of these are inputs to our mind. What gives in will come out. So feed the mind with the right thoughts and make it work for us.
